Mood Board

Below is my mood board, it reflects what my audio play is going to be about.

Synopsis

My audio play is going to be about a young woman from London who is heartbroken. The cause to her heart break is due to her ex partner who was deceitful through the majority of their relationship. The reason why the young lady (Mel) was heart broken so bad was because she loved her partner very much and she put a lot of energy into loving him and he abused her love and trust, he also failed to apologise for the careless way her treated her which lead Mel to becoming heart broken at first but as time passed she became heartless and she also picked up a "I don't care attitude." As i mentioned before Mel's friend Shantel signed her up for healing sessions so that she could mend her broken heart and start living a normal life again, however she originally told Mel that she signed her up for a "love talk"

Target Audience

Looking at the story and what the play is about i decided that my target audience will be for young women and men aged between 16-20. The reasons in which i have chosen this audience

is because:

• I want young boys and girl to understand how playing with someones heart and feelings can be tremendously effected if they choose to play with the emotions of someone that loves them

• I also chose this target audience because love is found around these ages and many times heart break is experienced at these ages.

Character Profile

Mel is a 23 year old woman from south London with a caribbean background. Mel was in a 6 year relationship with her partner whom she loved very much unfortunately her relationship did not last due to the liar and deceiver her ex partner was. Mel met her partner when she was just 12 years old, they went secondary school with each other. In school Mel and her partner Raquan did not look at each other as lovers, they did not even use to fancy each other they were simply friends. When Mel and Raquan finished school they found out that they would be going to college together, when they began college this is where they found a major connection in each other and it was at that moment they fell in love, just like that. Like magic. Three months in to college they both turned 17 and started to see each other, over the months they saw each other more and more until they were in a certified relationship. the first 4 years of Mel and Raquan's relationship were blissful although they had ups and downs, and times of smiles and frowns just like every normal healthy relationship does. Nonetheless the "blissfulness" was short lived so to speak when the fifth year of their relationship came around, Raquan started to cheat on Mel and Verbally abuse her. To Mel this was a shock because she had never experience such horrible things with him so she decided to take it on the should and told her self it would all stop, little did she know that it was only going to worsen. As moths went by Mel became very heart broken and depressed because her situation was worsening and the person whom she loved more than her self didn't seem to care, before she knew it a year of lies, drama and pain went by. This is where Mel decided enough was enough and she found the strength in herself to leave her relationship. however Mel was left very heartbroken because the person who she thought so highly of didn't even care enough to say sorry, in fact he blamed her for all of his wrong doings and never spoke to her again. This effected Mel very badly and ever scince she find it hard to open up to people and to love and trust people.

Location

Above is the location in which the session will be set. I have chosen this location because it is very private and professional, however it is not to intimate which is good for the sakes of Mel because she doesn't like being to close or intimate with anyone, this location allows her to pick where she wants to sit so that she can feel comfortable. This location is also good for the councillor because it has a TV projector this allows her to screen her questions so that she doesn't talk to much, after all it's all about Mel and her feelings.

Soundtracks and Sound effects

I have decided to not use any soundtracks for my audio play because i want my audience to focus only on the dialogue in the play.

As for sound effects I will record my own foley
